Style of teaching Classes are based on the classical Hatha Yoga postures, with an element of partial poses to prepare the body. The classes integrate exercises that are easily practised slowly developing A combination of static and dynamic postures which are taught in a flow style. Practises are used to help develop a more mindful approach to life and develop self awareness, opening the doors to being more in the Now. You will learn important breathing skills(pranayama) to help overcome anxiety, insomnia and create more energy that you can use anytime anywhere when required. Meditation and Yoga nidra (relaxation), is incorporated to bring the wholeness and balance to the class. Beginners level - Next course starting January-Book now This class incorporates the basic principles that teach postural alignment and self awareness using Hatha Yoga postures, integration of the breath with movement, core stability and relaxation with an introduction to meditation. Hatha Yoga class From the basic principles you are extended to further develop the practices to a more intermediate and advanced level of Yoga. This includes more classical poses including (PNF), advanced (pranayama) breathing methods, meditation, visualisation and Yoga Philosophy. All levels of experience can commence in this class, however a beginner's course is recommended prior to attending. Back care Program - Starts February A New class designed for anyone with continual back and neck pain. You will learn specific practices along with learning relaxation and pain management. The course is based on my seventeen years of Remedial therapy. Yoga and Stretch Therapy.. It is especially useful for specific conditions that have developed as a result of injury or ongoing muscular problems and is complementry to the hatha yoga asanas. The course will run for six weeks and will include a one on one review and the class size will be small. For information and registration please contact info@spiritofyoga.com.au Reconnective Yoga - Next Introductory Workshop - March Reconnective Yoga is a new practice now being brought into the Yoga class.Classes are a combination of Hatha Yoga Postures, meditation - pranayama - joined with Reconnective Healing. During the class you are encouraged to feel and access the energy or frequecies during some of the practises, before and during the class. While practicing this way the student tends to feel more "connected" supported and relaxed and are able to hold and go further into the posture, with ease. At the end of every class you also are able to relax whie the teacher connects to the healing frequencies so you can allow deeper healing to take place. It is Yoga and healing combined to create a powerful practice. |
