Start your year with an intention of breathing better to feel well.
Living with Asthma and panic attacks from my early 20's was a challenge when I first arrived on the Yoga Mat... it was bitter sweet. Staying in a position and being Zen and trying to breathe was impossible...oddly enough the results at the finish of class was one of peace- openness...a kind of spacious awareness.
I have had plenty of time to play and explore my own Muscles - mind and Mood since then arriving with no more Asthma or panic attacks. I still get stressed and react - but I have a handle on it all and can re calibrate when needed. Its only fair to share some of what I find helpful and what my students and clients have found helpful:
