Restorative Wisdom Training: Foundations

Open to all Mind-Body Practitioners, Massage Therapists, Yoga Teachers, Counsellors, Nurses and the general public.

As the concern over rising stress in the west rises so does the desire to overcome stress increase. Restorative Yoga practices are being recommended by doctors, specialists, chiropractors, physiotherapist and other health care professionals as a proven safe and effective treatment for fatigue, burnout and the underlying disease it creates. Having worked for 27 years in the health industry I have seen these levels increase tenfold, which was the driving force behind creating a course that was simple to follow, and could be facilitated by anyone who had a desire to support others and deeply understand how to and what specific Yoga, Meditation and health practices to apply .

Our specialised program aims to build upon self-regulation and emotional resilience, embodied within modern science and ancient wisdom.

The 3day course explores the fundamental Restorative Yoga & Relaxation practices that assist with various conditions that may be due to stress, burn out and fatigue which often leads to anxiety and depression. You will learn how to feel and become Embodied, Grounded and develop clarity of mind as you begin to shed and return to harmony in Body and Mind.

The course will include practical and diverse training in: Physiology of Stress Primary Restorative Yoga Practices Basic breath enquiries to assist with anxiety and depression.

Use of props, sequences, effective teaching skills. Applying to individual sessions and group sessions. Which Restorative practices specific to various conditions. Embodied presence. Pranayama - 3 primary breath ratios to change anxiety, depression and balance. Mudras and Physiology of stress. Basic relaxation and 27 years of the Wisdom which Cathie has been guided to offer This course will open your life to self-enquiry and healing.

On completion, you will be able to deliver/teach up to a 90min session in Restorative Yoga along with basic relaxation. You can use all of the tools delivered in this training to a group or administer them one on one. This training includes a Manual and will include theory and reflections components for home study.

CPD Points are appointed for Yoga Teachers. It incorporates theory and practice and is left open for further study and enquiry to a Restorative Lifestyle. 22/30

APD APPROVED: 30 hours This course is now approved by Yoga Australia for APD. Yoga Teachers can be confident in knowing that the course has the approval of Yoga Australia for Approved Professional Development (APD). This ensures that teachers can access quality professional development training and meet Yoga Australia’s quality standards while increasing their training hours from 200 - 500 hours.

The course times are as follows: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 9am-5pm

Cost for the 30 hours - $575 $475.00 super early bird $525.00 early bird (ends 28th Feb) Friday 9.30 am -5.30 pm Saturday and Sunday 8.30am-5.30pm
